Radio Cosmology Research Laboratory

Introduction

The Radio Laboratory for Radio Astronomy is located at Block B, Physics Department, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya. The lab is founded by Dr Zamri Zainal Abidin and Dr. Zainol Abidin Ibrahim in 2005 and is the first and, currently, the only radio astronomical laboratory facility in Malaysia. The 'Radio Lab', as it was called then, is now officially a research group in University of Malaya. The Radio Lab provides facilities such as a Faraday-caged lab, a 7.3-meter radio telescope and a radio frequency interference (RFI) monitoring system, which includes up to 4-GHz spectrum analyser. We also have several radio solar observing equipment systems, such as CALLISTO, HWDA and RDF
