BRIEF HISTORY OF RESEARCH CENTRE
National Centre for Particle Physics (NCPP) was established in 2013 and is hosted by the University of Malaya (UM) to facilitate and centralise scientific collaboration in particle physics within Malaysia. Local particle physics researchers can utilise the Centre’s facilities and international networks to conduct world-leading research in particle physics.
SCOPE OF RESEARCH
Our research focuses on exploring the most fundamental constituents of our Universe to understand their makeup and the forces acting between them. We are actively involved in large experimental collaborations at the high energy frontier (CMS experiment at LHC, CERN) and the high intensity frontier (Belle II experiment and COMET experiment at KEK).
