BRIEF HISTORY OF RESEARCH CENTRE
The Centre for Ionics Universiti Malaya (CIUM) was founded in 2007 by Prof. Dr. Abdul Kariem Mohd Arof to promote research activities on ionics materials. Since then, CIUM has emerged as one of the leading research centres in Universiti Malaya and strives to become a centre of excellence in ionics research in the Asian region. To date CIUM has published more than 400 ISI-cited journals and contributed to the human resource development by producing 50 Ph.D and 44 M.Sc. holders.
