Abstract:

Quantum teleportation is one of the essential parts of quantum information development. By combining quantum and classical channels, quantum teleportation allows the faithful transfer of an arbitrary quantum state from one party to another at a distance. However, the original teleportation protocol requires direct contact between the sender and the actual information, which means the information can be stolen easily if the sender is hijacked. One of the solutions to increase security is to encrypt the actual information using BB84 Quantum Key Distribution. However, the teleportation and BB84 protocol have very different mechanisms, which is impossible to combine. Hence, we develop an alternative encryption method called Quantum Demon Pot (QDP) Protocol, in which the main idea is to generate a particular quantum state from two other different states. The proposed QDP protocol can be easily combined with the teleportation protocol, resulting in an encrypted quantum controlled teleportation. We will show how the proposed protocol can significantly increase the security of information transmission. Lastly, we simulate the proposed protocol in Qiskit, run it in an IBM Quantum Computer, and discuss the result.

About the Speaker:

Mr. Muhammad Taufiqi is a physics doctoral student currently working on quantum information. He is also an LB Lecturer at Maulana Malik Ibrahim Islamic University, a physics olympiad trainer, one of the founders of Flash Academia Private Tutoring Agency, co-founder of a local fashion brand Kelana Scarves, and Kang Bubur Pandaan.

Thank you.
